The CTO will translate real-world business processes into a scalable, secure, and integrated technology platform covering finance, operations, sales, inventory, HR, procurement, reporting, and future business modules.
About the Role
We are looking for a visionary and hands-on Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to build and lead OptiNest's technology function and develop a powerful ERP platform that becomes the technology backbone of the business.
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone who understands both business operations and enterprise technology and can take an ERP platform from business requirements and architecture through development, implementation, integration, and continuous improvement.
You will work directly with company leadership to define the technology strategy, ERP roadmap, architecture, development standards, and engineering organization.

- Design a scalable, modular, secure, and maintainable ERP architecture.
- Convert business processes and requirements into practical software solutions.
- Establish the core ERP data model, workflows, permissions, approvals, and business rules.
- Design the platform to support future business growth, additional branches, users, and modules.
- Evaluate whether to build, integrate, customize, or adopt third-party solutions where appropriate.
Lead the technology development of modules such as:
- Finance & Accounting
- Sales & CRM
- Purchase & Procurement
- Inventory & Stock Management
- HR & Payroll
- Project & Task Management
- Customer & Vendor Management
- Business Operations
- Reporting & MIS Dashboards

- Notifications and Approval Systems
The exact module roadmap will be prioritized according to OptiNest's business requirements.
Integrations- Design and manage APIs and integrations with third-party systems.
- Integrate payment gateways, accounting systems, CRM, communication tools, banking services, and other business applications where required.
- Establish reliable data synchronization and a single source of truth across systems.
- Build and lead the software engineering and technology team.
- Establish coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and review standards.
- Introduce modern development practices including CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and version control.
- Manage technology vendors, developers, agencies, and external implementation partners.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high technical standard.
- Establish strong role-based access control and user permissions.
- Protect sensitive business and financial information.
- Implement audit trails, backups, disaster recovery, monitoring, and security controls.
- Ensure data integrity, availability, performance, and scalability.
- Establish appropriate cybersecurity and data-protection practices.
- Work closely with management and department heads to understand operational challenges.
- Identify opportunities to eliminate manual work, spreadsheets, duplicate data entry, and inefficient processes.
- Use automation and technology to improve productivity, transparency, and decision-making.
- Establish dashboards and management reporting that provide leadership with accurate business information.
What We Are Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, enterprise applications, ERP, SaaS, or technology leadership.
- Proven experience designing or leading development of ERP or complex business-management systems.
- Strong understanding of databases, APIs, cloud architecture, security, integrations, and scalable application design.
- Experience translating business processes into software architecture and workflows.
- Experience leading engineering teams and technology projects.
- Strong understanding of finance, accounting, inventory, procurement, sales, HR, or other business processes is highly desirable.
- Experience with modern cloud-native, API-driven, modular ERP architectures is a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work directly with founders/management and take ownership of technology decisions.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is more than a software developer.
The ideal CTO will be a technology leader, enterprise architect, product thinker, and business problem solver who can understand how a company operates and then design technology to make that operation faster, more accurate, scalable, and transparent.
You should be comfortable getting involved in architecture and strategic decisions while also leading developers and implementation teams.
First 90 Days
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Understand OptiNest's existing business processes and technology.
- Document ERP requirements and prioritize the product roadmap.
- Define the target ERP architecture and technology stack.
- Establish the database, API, security, and integration strategy.
- Identify the initial ERP modules for development.
- Build or organize the core engineering team.
- Establish development and deployment standards.
- Deliver the initial ERP development roadmap and execution plan.
Why Join OptiNest?
This is an opportunity to build the technology backbone of a growing business from the ground up.
You will have significant ownership over technology strategy, ERP architecture, product development, engineering, automation, and digital transformation.
If you are excited about building enterprise software that solves real business problems — not simply maintaining existing IT systems — we would like to hear from you.
